I’m with you on this one Dood. Even after tasting 40 of the leading rums, including maybe 6 cane juice rums, MGXO remains my favorite. It’s way too easy to go along with the latest trends, hidden flavorings, etc. But to me (and many others) Mount Gay just keeps on producing a real rum, smooth, complex, beautifully blended and that reflects 300 years of tradition.

It is a rum you sip with care, but which will reward you. It’s the rum that, with Appleton Extra , answers the question “What is rum supposed to taste like?”. Thanks for your review…
