Dood, aka Rum Dood, aka Teh Dood, aka Matt Robold lives in Orange County, California with his ever-growing collection of rums, rum experiments, and rum-drinking friends.
When not drinking rum or buying rum or reading about rum or writing about rum, Dood can probably be found spending time at Disneyland or with his family, or even occasionally writing software and getting paid for it (which will do for now...until someone starts paying him for rum-related activities).
Dood "got in to" rum after spending a week in the Caribbean, on the island of St. Lucia. While on the island he bought a bottle of Admiral Rodney aged rum and was hooked. After emptying the first bottle, Dood began an Internet-wide search for some way to acquire more. Regrettably, Dood was unable to find any way to get more Admiral Rodney without going back to St. Lucia (OK, so going back to St. Lucia could hardly be called "regrettable", but it's not like Dood could just catch the nearest bus and be there in an hour). His search was not in vain, however, as it allowed him to stumble across the
Ministry of Rum website, and there discover the forums of rum
afficionados and fanatics contained therein.
Once he started down the dark path of Demon Rum, it forever dominated his destiny - consumed him it did! Ok, well, actually, he consumed it, but the Star Wars reference was still worth it.
