We all make mistakes, and anyone who knows me personally will tell you that I make enough for all of us. This is just a quick mea culpa on the Old New Orleans Crystal Rum review that I posted yesterday. During my distillery tour I had erroneously written down that the Cyrstal rum was barreled at 157 proof, and stated so in my review. Cassidy, Brand Ambassador for Old New Orleans Rum, contacted me this morning and corrected me. The rum is not barreled aged at all, but pulled from the still, blended, flavored, and then bottled. I’ve corrected the piece from yesterday, and hope that you and I can just put this behind us and pretend it never happened. That way we can continue in the grand illusion of my own infallibility.
